The SAT Prep Course is for any student planning to take the SAT. Students will increase their awareness of the test and gain valuable information to increase their test scores.
During this ten-hour, one-on-one course the student will:
- gain valuable information about the format and content of the test.
- take a diagnostic test to identify strengths and weaknesses.
- work with an instructor to create a personalized study plan.
- have an opportunity to submit an essay online and have it evaluated.
- take and go over sample tests for math, critical reading and writing.
- spend time learning new vocabulary words commonly found on the test.
- learn to decide when and how to use a calculator on the test.
- obtain tips for dealing with test anxiety and testing conditions.
The fee for this program is $285. Each student will receive the Kaplan SAT Premier Program with CD ($35 value). This program includes nine full-length practice tests, 300 additional practice questions, access to online practice quizzes, proven score-raising strategies and online grading and evaluation of the student-written essay.
If two or more students would like to take the course together, each student will receive a 25% discount.
